Camp E-Star Minimize

Since 1982 the Eliason family has granted Troop 35 two weeks each summer on a beautiful campsite on the shores of the Chesapeake Bay near Fairlee Creek.

Camp E-Star has camping sites for five patrols, a pavilion for meals, a field for softball and volleyball, a sandy beach, a dock, and all support facilities. The troop also owns several small motor boats, sailboats, canoes and kayaks. Days at Camp E-Star are structured to allow boys to advance in rank and complete merit badges along with exercising, growing personally, building friendships and having fun they will remember for the rest of their lives. Many troop members will testify that Camp E-Star is the highlight of their year. Many return in later years to help run ceremonies at the camp. Parents visit scouts in the middle weekend of camp and then join in the final evening of camp for special ceremonies.

Troop 35 runs camp E-Star itself and we take pride in this tradition and our stewardship. A few Spring and Fall Sundays are spent maintaining Camp E-Star by raking the leaves or mowing the grass, to prepare for the next camp season. It is a great opportunity for new families to see the best camp on the Chesapeake Bay.

Troop 35 is eternally grateful to the Eliason family for their commitment, generosity and support that has made E-Star possible. Through this they have touched the lives of hundreds of T35 scouts.
